Eastern Iowa REC provides affordable, reliable, and safe electrical service to rural customers. The Cooperative serves a diverse membership that includes traditional farm operations, rural housing areas, industrial and commercial developments, and recreational facilities. Eastern Iowa REC is a distribution electric utility, serving the rural portions of 12 counties in Eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River.  Our service territory stretches from Sabula in the north, to Burlington in the south, and Iowa City to the west.  Eastern Iowa REC has offices in DeWitt, Lone Tree and Wapello. Our headquarters are in Wilton, Iowa.

Don't miss us at your County Fair

Eastern Iowa REC will be hosting booths at 4 county fairs this summer.

The Cooperative will have a booth inside the Matthews Building at the Cedar County Fair, in Tipton, July 9,10; at the Muscatine County Fair, in West Liberty, July 15, 16, 17; at the Johnson County Fair, in Iowa City, July 28; and at the Des Moines County Fair, in West Burlington, July 31. At each fair this summer, Cooperative personnel will be on hand to talk about Cooperative programs and careers. Fair visitors will also find fun give-aways at the Cooperative booth, including plastic hard hats for the children.

The series of 2026 District Meetings was completed Aug. 11. Five door prizes were awarded at each meeting.
