RECare is a community assistance program by Eastern Iowa REC, designed to help low-income members with their energy bills. Funded through voluntary member contributions, the program provides financial aid to those in need, ensuring access to essential electricity services. By participating in RECare, members support their neighbors and strengthen the cooperative’s commitment to community well-being.

Consider offering a helping hand to those who need it

The RECare program is funded by contributions from Iowa electric cooperative members to help others pay winter heating bills and to assist with weatherization projects for low-income families.  The program is administered by local community action agencies.  Cooperative members can make one-time pledges or monthly pledges collected from each energy bill.  Even the smallest pledges can help others. You care, we care, RECare!
