Rate Adjustment to take affect April 1

METERS

Average increase is 11.89% across all rate classes

Starting April 1, 2025, Eastern Iowa Light & Power will implement a rate adjustment to address rising costs and ensure reliable service. This will be reflected on May 2025 bills, with an average 11.89% increase across all rate classes.

The official rate adjustment notice was included in the energy bills that were mailed in February or mailed directly to those who have opted for the paperless bill program.

Why the change? Costs for equipment and materials have risen by 50% or more since our last rate adjustment in 2022. This update will help sustain the cooperative through 2027.
