Director

Gary Bruns is a director representing District 3 and was elected to the Cooperative Board of Directors in 2024. He lives near Wilton, IA in Cedar County with his wife, Sue. The couple have two children and five grandchildren. Bruns grew up in on a cow-calf farm west of Maquoketa. He received a bachelors and masters degree in agriculture education from Iowa State University. Bruns taught high school agriculture and FFA in Maquoketa and Wilton for 31 years and worked for the National Science Foundation for two years. He is a trustee and member of the stewardship committee at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, and a member of the Wilton Ag Advisory Committee. Bruns is an avid Iowa State University fan and enjoys landscaping.
