Director

Joel Carstensen is a director representing District 1 and was elected to the Cooperative Board of Directors in 2008. He lives south of Charlotte in Washington Township, Clinton County with his wife Peggy. The couple have four children and five grandchildren. Carstensen grew up south of Charlotte on a family farm and graduated from Northeast High School before attending Iowa State University. He is a retired farmer. Carstensen is a Credentialed Cooperative Director and has earned the Board Leadership Credential and Director Gold Credential. He enjoys bowling, golfing and helping around the farm. aa
