Geothermal Heat Pumps

One of the most efficient heating and cooling systems can be found beneath your feet. An earth coupled heat pump uses the earth's natural insulating energy to both heat and cool your business. Eastern Iowa REC offers $1,650 rebate for earth coupled heat pumps.

The Iowa Geothermal Association is a non-profit Iowa trade association focused on advancing geothermal heating and cooling systems within Iowa and the Midwest.  The IGA was formed in 1992 as one of the early means of educating consumers and contractors about heating and cooling using geothermal technology.  The IGA is comprised of those professionals actively involved in the industry through the proper design, installation, servicing or support of geothermal heating and cooling systems.

The primary goal of the IGA is to promote and ensure quality heat pump installations by establishing industry standards and ensuring competent workmanship through continuing education. The IGA website provides a variety of heat pump information and contact information for IHPA contractors, manufacturers, distributors, consultants, engineers and architects.  For more information visit the IHPA web site, www.iowageothermal.org
