The Current News is the official, monthly newsletter and main communications tool for Eastern Iowa REC.  The Current News includes Cooperative news, feature stories on area businesses, information about electrical safety, energy efficiency tips and much more. You can submit an ad for the Market Place advertising section online HERE or call, toll free, 1-800-728-1242.  You can also mail your ads to Eastern Iowa REC, Market Place, PO Box 3003, Wilton, IA 52778-3003.  The publication and advertising deadline dates are listed below.

PUBLICATION DATES & ADVERTISING DEADLINES

The deadline dates for Market Place ads and other news items to be included in the Current News issues for 2017 are: Jan. 6, Feb. 3, March 3, Apr. 7, May 12, June 9, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 8, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 1.

The publication dates for the Current News issues for 2017 are: Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, Apr. 20, May 25, June 22, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Dec. 14.

To advertise in the Market Place section:
The classified ads found in the Market Place section of the newsletter are a popular feature.  Eastern Iowa REC members may place one free ad per month in the Market Place section, up to 25 words per ad.  Business ads from members cannot be accepted unless the business is served by the Cooperative, or upon payment in advance at 10 cents per word. Only ads with member's name and account number will be accepted.

You can submit an ad for the Market Place section online HERE or call, toll free, 1-800-728-1242.  You can also mail your ads to Eastern Iowa REC, Market Place, PO Box 3003, Wilton, IA 52778-3003.

No advertising for cigarettes, intoxicating beverages, house siding, insurance, storm doors or windows, gas appliances, propane and fuel oil, or hunting equipment will be accepted.  The Current News editor may reject any or all advertising.  The Current News or the Cooperative will not be responsible for damages resulting from any errors in copy. Acceptance of advertising by the Current News does not imply endorsement by Eastern Iowa REC of the product or service advertised. Advertisers are screened by the editor and every effort is made to protect the subscriber, but the Current News and Eastern Iowa REC are not responsible for the performance of the product or service advertised.
