A Happy Easter
A huge shout out to the Eastern Iowa linemen on Easter Sunday morning. I awoke very early to a completely dark home with no security light. Thought about the Easter dinner I needed to prepare in a few hours so called the dispatcher and reported an outage. The friendly dispatcher said the linemen were in my area and should have us back up and running a short while. Since we had never experienced an outage of any length, I went back to bed and awoke later to still only the light of the sun coming up. However, your guys got the issue fixed and Easter dinner was in the making and served as planned. Thank you REC employees!!!

Thanks for the great service
Thanks for the great service the night of the storm Oct. 6. You were at our place long into the morning of the 7th. We have always had good service from the REC guys!
-Leota Schaper, Columbus Jct.
Thank You
Dear REC, While I don't have any complaints to register, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent service and great rates for it. It is such a blessing to have reliable power and it is so central to our lifestyle in this country. Thanks to all of you who make it possible. I know how much maintenance the power grid requires to keep us in power and how up a creek we would be without the skilled technicians who keep it going. Thanks again for all your efforts.
-Jeff Clinton, Davenport
Severe weather prompts a 'thank you'
I'd like to take the opportunity of a severe weather event to say thank you to the REC and their crews for their reliability and dedication to keeping our lights on. No matter ice storms or high winds, the trucks and crews are out there getting the job done. Thanks.
-The Humes Family, Camanche
Our power was out yesterday (Jan. 4). We called and you promptly took care of it. Thanks
-Russ Fry, Burlington
Thank You
I want to thank you for the insulated bag and lantern you handed out at the end of District 5 meeting July 28. This was the first time I had an opportunity to attend our District meeting. I have wanted to go for a number of years but always had a prior meeting. I want to once again say how pleased my husband and I both are with your quick response time of your crew to get to us here in Beaverdale when we call for assistance. Eastern Iowa Light & Power employees are the best in response time, and their upbeat personality when they no doubt have to leave the comforts of home to go out on a call. Rest assured, it's greatly appreciated.

Shout Out
Here's a shout out for the service/linemen who got our power back on in the snow storm on Super Bowl Sunday. I appreciate their efforts on a job well done. They even had to walk down a steep hill to check for downed trees. Awesome job. Thank you.
-Bill Bryson, Blue Grass
You do good work
Dear REC staff, You do good work! Thank you for getting the power restored so quickly Feb. 1.
-Karole Knapp, Muscatine
This was the first time in 54 years I ever had a credit and did not pay an electric bill that month. Thanks.
-Marilyn Drebenstedt, Mediapolis

Thank you so much for the "appliance rebate" on our bill. We really appreciate it.
